The most captivating poker tournaments on the planet are set to become even more enthralling for poker fans with the full launch of Triton Fantasy at Triton Poker Series' upcoming event in Jeju, South Korea.

After a successful soft launch in Montenegro in May, the full Triton Fantasy game, with numerous new features, gives poker fans the chance to draft a team of players for almost every tournament taking place in Jeju.

HOW TO PLAY TRITON FANTASY

It’s exceptionally simple to play the game that will quickly become the talk of the poker world.

If you haven’t already, download the Triton Poker Plus app. As well as chip-counts, hand updates and the live stream from the Triton Poker Series, this is also the gateway to Triton Fantasy.

Players then simply need to click “Fantasy” in the top navigation, set up an account, choose a team nickname, and begin selecting a team of six to eight players. The daily game starts when Day 2 begins in the relevant tournament on the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series.

Your team then earns points depending on the finishing positions of these players in the tournament, with a number of further point-scoring opportunities including multipliers and boosters.

And if you fall the wrong side of variance in this one, another tournament will be along very soon (usually the next day) so you can begin the selection process again. You can select a new team to play every applicable tournament, with selection open until the start of Day 2 in the event.

Monitor your players' performances throughout the tournament

SELECTING TEAMS AND SCORING POINTS

Triton SHRS players earn points for their Triton Fantasy team if they make the deepest stages of a tournament.

"Base Points" are awarded to players finishing in the top percentage of the field, with the specific number of points, and the places earning points, dependant on the size of the tournament.

The Base Point allocation will only be confirmed when registration is closed, but the tournament winner will earn the most points, with other players making deep runs earning points on a sliding scale.

Team managers also name a Captain, who in most tournaments receives a 1.25x multiplier on any Base Points they earn. (This is a 2x multiplier in Invitational events.)

Fantasy managers need to finalize their teams before the start of Day 2 in the relevant tournament. That obviously means there will be a wide range of chip stacks already in play, but the game prohibits players from loading their selections with only the big stacks.

Besides, there are further points available to players who surge from smaller stacks. These are known as "Position Change" points.

The players remaining in the tournament will be separated into "big stacks", "small stacks" and "medium stacks", with the number of players in each category dependant on the size of the overall field.

Fantasy players will be restricted to a certain number of big stacks and small stacks (again dependant on size of field), and can then complete their teams by drafting as many players as you wish from the medium stacks.

Position Change Points are awarded at a certain rate for each position gained outside the ITM places, and at a higher rate for each position gained ITM.

Managers can also select two players on whom to attach a "Booster Multiplier". The boosted players receive 2.5x on Position Change Points, in most tournaments. (There are no boosters in Invitational events. Instead, players can select two "Power Picks" for additional point-earning potential.)

The deeper a player goes, the more points for the fantasy team

Smart team selection therefore requires picking players who are already well-positioned to go deep and balancing them with longer shots who can plunder plenty of Position Change points if they go on a run.

GAMEPLAY SUMMARY

Putting all of the above into a five-step plan, here's how you play Triton Fantasy:

Step 1 – Study the Field

Review chip stacks and Base Point multipliers. Average stacks sit at 1x, big stacks carry lower multipliers, and short stacks offer higher upside.

Step 2 – Pick Your Lineup

Build a roster that balances players positioned to run deep with high-multiplier long shots. You have until the start of Day 2 to lock in your team.

Step 3 – Choose Your Power Plays

Select a Captain to earn more Base Points, and two Boosters to earn more Position Change Points.

Step 4 – Earn Points

Base Points come from finishing position, while Position Change Points reward players who climb the leaderboard. Use your Captain and Boosters to amplify both. Detailed scoring formulas are available in the game info.

Step 5 – Follow the Action

Track your team live and see final results at the end of the tournament. New games launch daily and contribute to the Festival Leaderboard.

HOW TO CREATE OR JOIN A LEAGUE

One of the brilliant new features of Triton Fantasy, making its debut in Jeju, is the option to create a private league and battle against friends, family and colleagues. There’s no limit to the number of leagues you can join, in addition to the overall game leaderboard, where the big prizes are on offer.

Setting up a league is a simple process.

From the main Triton Fantasy screen, click “Leagues” from the top navigation (beside “Games” and “Results”)

You then have the option to “Join League” or “Create League”

Play in a league along with your

If you are creating a league:

• Choose a name for the league and confirm it in the “League name” box
• Click “Change icon and color” to choose your league’s icon from the available options
• Select whether you wish the league to be Private (i.e., viewable only by its members) or Public
• Confirm your selections by hitting “Create League”

You will then see an Invite Code, an Invite Link and a QR code, which you can share with people you wish to invite to your league. Hit “Share” to send the invitation to your friends, via WhatsApp or any other messaging service. You can similarly share the code in person, if applicable.

To join a league:

• Click on the link or scan the QR code provided to you from the league creator
• When prompted, fill in the Invite Code and that’s it, you’re in!
